The Knicks sent the guard a letter informing him of the fine, according to a person with knowledge of the penalty who spoke to The Associated Press. He requested anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss it.
…A person close to the situation told the Daily News that Marbury reportedly marched to the front of the plane to confront Thomas over the situation, then returned five minutes later and claimed he had leverage on Thomas. “Isiah has to start me,” Marbury reportedly said, according to the Daily News. “I’ve got so much [stuff] on Isiah and he knows it. He thinks he can [get] me. But I’ll [get] him first. You have no idea what I know.”

Craziness! I really hate the “He requested anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss it.” There’s just something very wrong with those types of situations. I’m not allowed to discuss this, but I’m going to do it anyway, and then hide my identity so I don’t get into trouble. I don’t know, I’m just not sure this is what having anonymous sources is about.
Regarding Stephon, I’m not really a fan of his as a player, but I do like what he’s done with his Starbury line of cheap shoes and apparel. I also, for part-gossipy and for part-I think it is quite believable in my totally uninformed but judging manner- that Isiah is a bastard, want to see what “stuff” he has.
Gossip away Stephon! Go get Isiah before he gets you!
Wouldn’t it also be awesome if he somehow ended up on the Celtics, and playing with KG again, they whoop ass on the Knicks, they win a championship, and somehow Stephon gets redeemed in all this?
Random trivia: Stephon Marbury is Sebastian Telfair’s cousin. (now playing for the Wolves, former Blazer and Celtic)
